Jay Davis stated that the workgroups are all developing five-year plans which will be completed by the end of this year. A five-year plan for the entire RMP will be developed in the first and second quarters of 2008. In the fourth quarter of 2008 a summary report on the work of the Exposure and Effects Pilot Study will be prepared. Information: Impact of California Budget Impasse on SFEI The State budget impasse has resulted in suspend-work orders. Although the RMP has not been affected by the failure to pass a
budget, approximately 40 percent of the Institute’s projects (revenue) are currently under a suspend-work order. Rainer Hoenicke, as SFEI’s acting interim Executive Director, will update
the Committee on measures that the Institute is currently implementing to weather this current crisis.
