| Thomas Jabusch received his Ph.D. in Water Resources Science with an Environmental Chemistry emphasis from the University of Minnesota in 2002, where he examined the processes controlling the bioaccumulation of PCBs in phytoplankton. He was a Sea Grant Fellow at the Great Lakes Commission in Ann Arbor, MI, where he drafted the Corps of Engineers’ John Glenn Great Lakes Program Strategic Plan and an annotated bibliography for testing and evaluation of dredged material for upland beneficial uses. Prior to joining SFEI, he conducted postdoctoral studies at UC Davis on the environmental fate and persistence of a new rice herbicide. Prior to his doctorate, he completed an integrated MS/BS degree in Biology with a Limnology emphasis at the University of Freiburg. His MS project led him to EAWAG in Zurich, Switzerland, to study trace metal interactions with freshwater phytoplankton. Thomas’ current work combines his interests in aquatic science, assessment and restoration of aquatic ecosystems, and water policy. One major focus area is the development of a regional monitoring program for water quality in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (Delta RMP). |
