Save the Bay: Climate Conversations-Greening our Cities

Join Save The Bay for Climate Conversations and learn how an innovative nature-based approach to stormwater management called green stormwater infrastructure can help cities prepare for the impacts of climate change while improving the health of the San Francisco Bay.

We’ll be joined by Assemblymember Diane Papan, who represents San Mateo County, the county in California that is most at risk of flooding; Alicia Gilbreath, an environmental scientist at the San Francisco Estuary Institute who will explain how this innovative approach helps manage stormwater; and Kira Maritano, Senior Project Manager at Trust for Public Land, who will discuss an exciting implementation of green stormwater infrastructure, Green Schoolyards.
