This two day workshop is designed to provide San Francisco Bay Area volunteers interested in wetlands and streams with the latest information and new skills in monitoring. Monitoring is becoming one of the most critical elements of wetland and stream restoration and advocacy. It can reveal the success, or lack of success, in restoration and mitigation projects, providing insights on how to improve those projects and may soon have greater significance in the regulatory process. The workshop will be a combination of talks, panel discussions and wetlands field observation using the California Rapid Assessment (CRAM). Successful volunteer-conducted monitoring studies will be featured.
