Jennifer Hunt received a B.A. in Sociology from Emmanuel College in Boston and a B.S. in Biology from San Francisco State University. Jennifer has worked at SFEI since May 2002 as an Environmental Analyst and Project Manager. Currently, Jennifer is managing projects that focus on mercury and other contaminant cycling and bioaccumulation in ecological systems of the Bay. Jennifer is also the editor of the RMP newsletter, manages the RMP sport fish contaminant monitoring project, and manages the Guadalupe River Storm Water Monitoring Project. Prior to joining SFEI, Jennifer worked at the Romberg Tiburon Center for Environmental Studies in a nutrient cycling lab, and also has experience in non-profit administration.

The study revealed high methylmercury concentrations along much of the coast.
