Cristina Grosso is the Manager for SFEI’s Regional Data Center. She received a B.S. in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University and a M.A. in Geography with an emphasis in Resource Management and Environmental Planning from San Francisco State University. Cristina coordinates the various data management efforts for the Regional Data Center and the exchange of data with the California Environmental Data Exchange Network (CEDEN). She works directly with the State’s other data centers to ensure monitoring data are comparable with the State Water Ambient Monitoring Program (SWAMP). In addition, Cristina assists in developing data upload and access tools for the Regional Monitoring Program for Water Quality, the California Wetlands Portal, the California Rapid Assessment Method for Wetlands, and the Central Valley Monitoring Directory. She joined SFEI in 1998.

What is the condition of California streams? The new California Streams and Rivers Portal provides information on the health of public waterways and includes interactive graphics, maps, and monitoring data that focus on the location extent, and health of the State’s streams and rivers. This new portal displays data from the State's Data Exchange Network (CEDEN) and can be found at www.CaWaterQuality.net, under the Ecosystem Health tab.
